Puppet Show Playbill

I worked as an assistant teacher in a regular classroom for two years before I started teaching art. I was lucky enough to work with a fabulous teacher who encouraged me to use my art talents in her classroom. This is a project I worked on while there.

To gather better understanding of the genres of poetry, folklore and mythology, students created props and performed puppet shows dramatizing these three forms of literature. The design of a playbill for the performances, complete with ads based on characters and products from their stories, gave the students a chance to form an "advertising agency" and experience a bit of that unique working environment.
